The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has described 2026 as a year that will surpass 2025 in impact, opportunities and testimonies, according to prophecies released ahead of the new year.
Speaking during the church’s annual crossover service, Adeboye said the spiritual “wind” that began to blow in 2024 would not only continue in 2026 but would do so with greater intensity.
According to him, the year will present more opportunities, breakthroughs, victories and successes, with fewer failures compared to the previous year.
He added that many testimonies in 2026 would be marked by delayed fulfilments, noting that several people would begin their testimonies with the phrase, “God remembered me at last.”
On Nigeria, the cleric disclosed that the prophecies concerning the country were in two parts, explaining that he had only received clearance to share the first part for now.
“I am not sure I am allowed to share the second part yet. I will pray more about it, and if God gives permission, I will share,” he said.
However, Adeboye revealed that the first part of the Nigeria prophecy carries hopeful signs. He said there would be a reduction in hunger across the country and that small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) would begin to experience growth and stability.
He also spoke about a possible reverse migration trend, stating that many Nigerians who had relocated abroad in search of better opportunities , a phenomenon popularly known as “Japa” would begin to return home.
On global affairs, the RCCG leader said the likelihood of a major global war in 2026 is lower than it was in 2025, suggesting a relatively calmer international climate.
Addressing weather patterns, Adeboye noted that conditions in 2026 would be largely similar to those experienced in 2025, although he cautioned that there may be a few major hurricanes during the year.
He also explained that some revelations concerning the church would be communicated discreetly through leadership channels.
“As far as RCCG is concerned, He said, he will tell the pastors, who will tell the house fellowship leaders, and they will tell you because what He is saying to you, I don’t want anybody else to know,” he said.
