The memorial event will hold on May 2, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Transcorp Hilton Conference Hall, Abuja.
The event is organised to commemorate the life and contributions of Dr. Braithwaite, regarded as a prominent figure in Nigeria’s legal and democratic development.
Dignitaries expected at the event include Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu; former Osun State Governor Bisi Akande; Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka; and Benedict Hope Uzoma Obi, who will serve as Special Guest of Honour.
A highlight of the programme will be the launch of a biography documenting the life and legacy of the late legal practitioner.
